Foulke's a Flake & Cavs at the all star break

As you might have heard Keith Foulke is expected to retire today, how do you think this effects our closer role for this coming season?

Also, Cavs top the Lakers for the second time in as many weeks 114-108, with James leading the way with 38 points. So as we head into the All Star break with a record of 31-22 how do you think the Cavs will perform after the break? And with the trade deadline approaching fast do you think the Cavs should make some moves to beef up the roster for yet another playoff appearance?

Morning everyone!

I say Keith Foulke is a joke. The Tribe should have just signed Wickman to a 2 year contract last year and been done with it. You still bring in Borowski and Hernandez. I just hope that the youngsters in the bullpen understand the position is now open and fight for it.

Great win for the Cavs last night. Great way to go into the All-Star game. I'm not sure what's worse, the NBA All-Star game of NFL Pro-Bowl.

What if the end of the world was based on a Cleveland Championship? You know it would be our luck that in any of our sports, if there was like 2 seconds left on the clock and we're winning, out pops the 4 Horsemen and fire and brimstone!

I think if the Cavs are healthy and going into the playoffs on a positive note they'll do fine. I'm not sure if their strong enough to win it all though.

People could have said the same about Miami last year.

I agree about the end of the world coinciding with a Cleveland Championship, but at least we know the world won't end for another 50 years!!

tap tap tap tap.............zing!!

I think I just cried a little. I'm hoping the Browns are the first to win a championship.

In 2003 the Chargers went 4-12 but the next year went 12-4. I CAN SEE IT!

Tribe should bring Doug Jones out of retirement. You have to give it to Kobe though.....he does lead the league in attempted rapes. Whats up with the picture? It looks like he is trying to grab Lebron's James. Now that's an offensive foul.

.....And 1

My opinions.

This whole mess with the closer situation would have been remedied 2 years ago if the Tribe would have opened their check book for Bob Howry. He was the best set up man in baseball in '05, and the next logical move would have been moving him into the closer's role after Wickman either retired or got signed/traded to another team. Howry should have been the priorty that off seaseon. That way we would have had the flexibility to either sign Wickman for a 1 year contract, or just let him test the market. Either way we'd have Howry as our closer right now.

As far as the Cavs go, I feel like they should definitely try to make a trade. We need a pure PG to run the offense. The main issue with our offense is that LeBron is being forced to set up his own offense. This works against us in 2 specific ways. LeBron either gets double or triple teamed at the top of the arch, or the rest of the team just stands around watching him. Boobie is definitely an upgrade over E. Snow, but right now he's more of a hybrid 2 guard.
